Haki: Chaguo Ni LakoMobile Web East Africa, the third, will be happening in Nairobi from tomorrow the 19th of February. This is an interactive mobile focused event that happens once a year in Nairobi, there is other versions for West Africa and the whole of Africa as a whole. Afroes, a UK based company and maker of the game Haki: Chaguo Ni Lako will be launching the game on the last day of the event at a session that is dedicated to product launches and announcements by Mobile Web East Africa Attendees.

The name “Haki: Chaguo Ni Lako” can be translated to mean Justice: The Choice Is Yours and is a mobile game Afroes designed in conjunction with the Tuvuke Initiative for Peace to inspire and promote peace and tolerance amongst Kenyan youth.

The game which will be available both on Java and Android phones is designed to inspire players through critical information placed in a fun way encouraging dialogue and contemplation about the contentious issues on forms of leadership; the rights and responsibilities of Kenyan citizen; access to and distribution of productive resources; and of livelihoods. Haki challenges the user to reflect on the choices they make and the consequences of such choices on peace in Kenya.

The campaign will be focused on ensuring that millions of young Kenyans (between 18 and 35) are encouraged to make a commitment to peace and tolerance and also raise their hands to the Tuvuke slogan NIMEJIANDIKISHA!
