Nokia’s push to make Asha accepted as a smartphone series is ever so animated, now with more devices accessing Mail for Exchange. Previously the Asha 302 stood among heroes as being the first Series 40 device to support Mail for Exchange. Let’s forget a bit the part where Google discontinues Google Sync for Nokia Series 60, Series 40 and Symbian.
Mail for Exchange will be available for Nokia Asha 311, Nokia Asha 310, Nokia Asha 308 and Asha 309 and users will sync data with Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010 Servers and also Office 365 Mobility Online Service. Looks like Microsoft is going all out to support Nokia even past Lumias and into Series 40.
“The introduction of the new app makes your Nokia Asha 311, 310, 309 & 308 ready for business. It will enable users to take their office wherever they go, enhancing their overall mobile experience for work,” said King’ori Gitahi, Nokia’s Head of Product Marketing for East Africa.
Nokia has also developed two document editing apps Editori and Sheet for Microsoft Word and Excel editing respectively.
