While we expected the Xperia Z1s to be the z1′s mini phone just like the Z1 f is over in the Far East, that is not exactly what Sony had in mind. They twisted things a bit. The Z1s is a T-Mobile only variant of the Z1 with all the flagship glory of the 2013 device and several additions. The real deal is the Xperia Z1 Compact which is indeed, as we expected, the sweet spot of mini versions of flagships and is pretty much what all device manufacturers should be doing with those mini versions of devices they release.
With a 4.3 inch 720p HD display, the Z1′s killer 20.7 megapixel camera and the same Snapdragon 800 processor, the Xperia Z1 Compact is just that, a mini version of the Xperia Z1.
Other specs are as follows:
Memory: 16 GB onboard storage, 2 GB RAM
Battery: 2300 mAh
OS: Android 4.3
IP 55/58 certification
