Samsung has reportedly listed two unannounced devices that we expect the company to release soon on its product site without providing further details. The Samsung Gear Fit, a fitness-focused wearable that is getting a slight makeover for the first time since its release two years ago, shares the spotlight with the Gear IconX, Samsung’s first wireless earbuds.
We got to hear for the first time about the upcoming release of the two devices only last week but Samsung seems to have been working on them for a while and they are ready for official release. How else would they be listed on its website as compatible accessories of the company’s S Health app and platform?
While the Gear Fit 2 retains the “strip” look of its predecessor, it appears to have been tweaked to appear as if it packs a slightly larger display that makes it watch-like while in reality it retains the same 1.84-inch Super AMOLED display of the first generation Gear Fit. Its plastic straps also appear to be textured.
It is only a matter of time, most likely, before these two devices are made official.
