OnePlus will unveil the third-generation of its flagship smartphone lineup, the one it has always unwittingly referred to as “the flagship killer”, on June 14th.
According to the company, the device will be available on sale shortly after the launch.
Unlike its predecessors the OnePlus One and the OnePlus 2, the OnePlus 3 won’t be made available under that ludicrous invite-only system. Instead, the device will be made available to everyone interested in buying one.
“Invites are gone forever from future OnePlus product launches.”
It looks like OnePlus finally has its house in order as far as its production facilities go and that it has learnt its lessons from the chaos that greeted past OnePlus smartphone releases.
Those who watch the launch live stream using OnePlus’ Loop VR headset will be the only ones exclusively able to order the device for at least two hours after the launch from inside their VR headsets.
The OnePlus 3 is expected to pack slight upgrades to the OnePlus 2 including the introduction of a 6 GB RAM variant.
