Yes, you read that right. Infinix are following in the footsteps of its older sibling TECNO. Not only by producing a music centric phone but also having a dozen and one smartphone series. Anyway, we’re here to talk about Infinix and their new series of devices, but first I have to mention that Infinix used to be that cool brand with only three series of smartphones, the HOT series, the Note series and the flagship Zero series but recently it seems like the company has been all over with new series such as the S series which was initially within the HOT series and the latest kid on the block is the Smart series.
Techweez has obtained information from reliable sources that the new Smart series will be an entry-level category with sub-10,000 (KSH) price tag and the HOT series is now moving on up to a higher 10k+ pricetag.

The source cites that the new Smart series will be a music centric device that will be powered by Dirac Stereo widening technology and will feature dual front facing speakers that will deliver “more stable bass and more outstanding sound quality”. *mind blown*
We have been informed that there will also be a quick settings shortcut to toggle Dirac audio enhancement on or off. Other features of the device include a 5.0-inch 720p display, a 3060mAh battery, Android 7.0 Nougat with XOS 2.2 customization, an underwhelming 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.
The Infinix Smart will be launching on Jumia Kenya on 17th July, 2017 for mere Ksh.7,900.
