The Presidential Digital Talent Programme (PDTP) was officially launched in February 2015, after being postponed a couple of times since its initial intended launch in 2014. The programme was launched by the Ministry of ICT and is being implemented by ICT Authority through a Private and public Partnership arrangement. The programme aims to provide a training ground to fresh university graduates in readying them to be the industry leaders and experts in the future.

The first batch of graduates from the programme graduated in January of this year, with 89 of the graduates getting jobs immediately after graduation. Initially, 100 students had been admitted, 11 of which dropped out for various reasons, including getting job offers.
