In Kenya we’ve had the Galaxy S III Lite, a severely watered down version of the Galaxy S III mini that has nothing to do with the Galaxy S III branding save for laying a claim no one but its manufacturer can justify. In the Netherlands, Samsung is unveiling yet another member of its successful and popular Galaxy line of Android smartphones, the Galaxy S III mini Value Edition. The Value Edition is not a watered down of the S III mini but pretty much its modern equal that has been rumoured for at least a whole year.
At this point in time we’ve all gotten used to Samsung’s queer device names and we’ll simply head over to the specs the device packs which include:
- A 4 inch WVGA (800 x 480) display
- 4 GB internal memory with a microSD card slot and 1 GB of RAM
- A dual-core 1.2 GHz processor
- A 5 megapixel camera, VGA front-facing camera
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
- 1500 mAh battery
- Others: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0
The Galaxy S III mini Value Edition will go for € 181
