laptops moi university

Moi University has an assembly facility that has, for the first time, released tech products that can be used by locals. The assembly line is said to have cost US$5 million, employees 300 direct workers, although it has the capacity of accommodating 1000 employees, and has 12 technicians who are armed to address issues about the devices. The number of people working there can only grow if there is a market for the devices being churned out.

So, before we list the devices, it is worth noting that the laptops will be available to the masses in the next three weeks, and we have no definitive calendar of the other machines. The three portable computers have all the bells and whistles of modern laptops, with backlit keyboards, 360° hinges, touchscreen support and ability to doodle on the display with a stylus.

What’s more, the computers are put together with the help Microsoft, the software corporation that has made a name for itself with products like Office and Windows, as well as Intel that designs chipsets.

Also, besides the laptops, the Moi University factory has mini-PCs and desktops. The institution of higher learning says it has servers in place as well, but we did not get to see them during the launch event held just the other day.

Without keeping you here for long, here are the devices that were announced, including laptops that will initially hit store shelves in the aforementioned 3-week timeline.
