2024 has been an interesting year for brands known for their affordable offerings and Infinix has been one of those at the forefront with some fascinating devices. The company’s midrange segment has particularly seen some growth with new devices that can compete with those in that price range for over a decade. So, which phones from Infinix are the best to buy in 2024?
Infinix Hot 50i- KES 13,500
When it comes to the most affordable option from Infinix this year, this would probably be the best to get. This is probably because the Infinix Hot 50i is a budget device that tries its best to stay true to the whole Hot 50 series by not taking away too much from its bigger sibling, the Hot 50 Pro+. With 6GB RAM, Helio G81 chipset, 48MP main camera and a 5000mAH battery pack, you can definitely have your money’s worth with it.
It’s not a phone that stands out but is designed to perform to the best of its ability which is what you should expect from a phone of its price range.
Infinix Note 40- KES 24,000
When it comes to staying true to its lineup, the Note 40 is probably the best at doing so. Even the design itself gives off “copy but don’t make it too obvious” as it looks too similar to the more expensive models in the Note 40 lineup. You get 8GB of expandable RAM, 256 internal storage, a 108MP rear camera, a 32MP selfie camera and a 5000 mAh battery. Need any more convincing?
What makes it interesting is that Infinix chose this base model to use as the skin for its exclusive Racing Edition which might say alot about the performance levels that it can reach.
Infinix Hot 50 Pro+- KES 26,000
This is Infinix’s latest device and the hype alone would go a long way to convince anyone to get this phone. Having used it for a couple of weeks now, I can definitely say that this phone lives up to the noise. The standout feature is the design as its one of the slimmest phones with a 6.88mm frame and a generally sleek design. More than just the looks, the device promises impressive levels of performance thanks to its Helio G100 chipset, 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, 50MP rear camera and 5000mAh battery. The 6.78-inch 3D curved display is also quite impressive giving accurate and vivid picture quality.
Infinix Note 40 Pro 4G- KES 35,000
The Note 40 Pro is one of the best midrange smartphones in the market this year and I say that because of what the phone offers in comparison to others in its price range. The design itself makes the phone stand out, especially with the huge metallic camera module. You get 8GB of RAM, Helio G99 Ultimate chipset, a 108MP main camera, a 32MP selfie camera and a unique Halo flashlight system. You can’t talk about this phone without obviously addressing the charging tech on it. Other than the 5000mAh battery, you get to have a charging pad that also comes with a specially designed phone case for that, reverse wireless charging, 45W wired charging and bypass charging.
Infinix Zero Flip 5G- KES 79,500
While I may still be sceptical about foldable smartphones, there is no denying that the market has grown with companies like Infinix now coming in with more affordable options that also promise a high level of performance. The Infinix Zero Flip would definitely stand out because not everyone gets to own a flip smartphone right now. So you get that bragging point which is a plus. But you also get your money’s worth with 12GB of RAM, a dual camera setup with two 50MP lenses, a Dimensity 8020 processor and a 4720mAh battery. While I might have wished for a bigger battery pack, the phone offers up to 70W charging support which is more than good enough to juice it up in a matter of minutes.
