Infinix has released the Note Edge, a curved-screen smartphone that manages to pack a 6500mAh battery into a device that’s only 7.2mm thick and weighs 185 grams.
For context, that’s a battery capacity you’d typically find in much thicker phones, yet the Note Edge is actually quite slim.
The phone is built around MediaTek’s new Dimensity 7100 5G chip, making this the first device globally to ship with this processor. Infinix claims it scores over 810,000 points on AnTuTu V11 and can run games like Honor of Kings at 90fps.
The company worked with MediaTek on 13 different 5G optimizations, which they say results in 30% faster video streaming in crowded areas like subways and buses, and better call success rates in areas with heavy interference.
Its display is a 1.5K resolution curved OLED panel with bezels as narrow as 1.87mm and peak brightness hitting 4500 nits. That brightness level should make outdoor visibility a non-issue.
The screen uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for protection, and the whole device has IP65 water and dust resistance.
Battery life is clearly a major focus here. Infinix says the 6500mAh cell will give you 26 hours of continuous Google Maps navigation or 22 hours of YouTube playback.

The phone charges at 45W in what they call “Hyper Mode,” reaching 50% in 27 minutes from a dead battery and fully charging in 62 minutes.
There’s also something Infinix calls “self-repairing battery technology.” When the battery fully drains, a low-current process activates that supposedly heals micro-cracks in the battery cells through dynamic recrystallization.
The claim is that this maintains over 80% capacity after 2,000 charge cycles, which would be roughly six years of typical use. That’s considerably better than most smartphone batteries if it holds up in practice.
Its camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with a 1/2-inch sensor size. Infinix has added a Live Photo mode that captures 3-second video clips with audio, letting you scrub through to pick the sharpest frame. You can export these as GIFs or MP4 videos directly.
The phone runs XOS 16, which is based on Android 16, with up to 8GB of RAM that can be expanded to 16GB through software. There’s a customizable button on the side that launches the Folax AI assistant, which can analyze what’s on your screen and provide translations, summaries, or quick answers.
Infinix is committing to 3 major Android updates (up to XOS 19) and 5 years of security patches, which is decent long-term support for a phone at this price point.
The Note Edge comes in four colors: Lunar Titanium, Silk Green, Stellar Blue, and Shadow Black. The Silk Green version uses what Infinix calls a polyurethane water-wave brushed texture that’s meant to feel like leather with a silky finish.
The other three colors use composite materials with a cat’s-eye gem effect that changes appearance depending on the light and viewing angle.
Pricing starts at $200 (~ KES 26,000), though the exact price and availability will vary by region. The phone is launching in markets across Africa (including Kenya), Latin America, the Middle East, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
