vivo has launched the V70 FE in Kenya, and the headline number is a 200-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization.
That’s a lot of pixels, and the practical upside is that you can zoom in or crop aggressively after the fact and still end up with a sharp image. For travel photos or anything where you want flexibility in post, it comes in handy.
The front camera is 32 MP with a wider field of view than most, which is useful for group selfies without having to hold your arm out at an awkward angle.
Both the front and rear cameras can shoot 4K video with stabilization, which is a feature you’d normally expect to find only on more expensive phones.
vivo has also baked in some AI photography effects. Two of the more distinctive ones are “Snow Town” and “Aurora,” which are triggered by the AI when it detects certain lighting or weather conditions in your scene.
There’s also an AI weather effect. These are the kind of features you’ll either use a lot or completely ignore depending on your style, but they’re there.

On the design side, the phone comes in Ocean Blue and Muse Purple. The bezels are 1.86 mm, the screen is flat at 7.59 mm thin, and there’s a distinctive ring design around the camera module.
The display is a 1.5K AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, which means smooth scrolling and rich colors.
Under the hood, you’ve got a MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor, which sits in the upper-mid-range tier and is capable enough for regular day-to-day use and photography without breaking a sweat.
The battery is 7000 mAh, which is large even by current standards, and it charges at 90W so you can go from low to full relatively quickly.
The phone also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it handles dust and water immersion at depth, plus high-pressure water jets. The IP69 rating in particular is not common and more often found on industrial equipment than smartphones.
Pricing in Kenya is KES 57,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version and KES 67,999 for the 8GB + 512GB variant. Both are available now at vivo retail stores and their official online channels.
