vivo’s newest addition to its lineup, the vivo V70, went on sale in Kenya today, priced at KES 84,999.
The phone’s main selling point is its camera system, specifically a 50 MP telephoto lens built in partnership with ZEISS. Telephoto cameras are typically reserved for flagship phones, so having one in the V Series is a major step up for vivo.
The lens supports up to 20x zoom and is designed to maintain detail and sharpness even in low-light conditions such as concerts, sports, or any scenario where your subject isn’t standing right in front of you.

For video, the V70 supports 4K recording at 60 frames per second for the first time in this series. There’s also an AI Stage Mode that uses the 1x–10x–20x zoom range to track and refine faces in concert or stage settings, which is specifically aimed at people shooting from a distance in crowded venues.
Portrait shooting gets ZEISS Multifocal Portrait with an 85mm equivalent close-up option and ZEISS-style background blur.
The body is built with a 6-series aerospace aluminum alloy frame, which vivo says improves corrosion resistance and overall strength. The camera module has a polished metallic finish, and the phone comes in two colors: Dune Gray and Aesthetic Black.
The front has a flat OLED display with rounded corners and a 1.5K resolution running at 120Hz.

Battery life shouldn’t be a concern here. The V70 carries a 6,500 mAh cell, which is large even by 2026 standards, and supports 90W fast charging. On the durability side, it’s rated IP68 and IP69, meaning it can handle dust, water submersion, and high-pressure water jets.
The vivo V70 is now available at retail stores and official online channels nationwide.
