Infinix is preparing to launch the Note Edge tomorrow, and leaked images reveal a striking design approach that departs from typical smartphone aesthetics.
The device will be available in a bright orange finish created through a nano-coating process designed to resist color degradation and scratches from daily use.
Beyond the orange variant, Infinix plans to offer additional colors featuring what the company calls a pearl light gemstone finish. This treatment creates shifting light patterns across the phone’s back panel.
The leaked images, courtesy of GSMArena, show at least two of these alternative color options, though the complete palette hasn’t been disclosed.
The Infinix Note Edge measures 7.2mm thick and packs a 6,500 mAh battery, which should provide multiple days of use between charges. This combination of a slim profile with high battery capacity is unique, as phones with larger batteries typically sacrifice thinness.
It will also be the first phone globally to ship with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7100 processor. This chip succeeds the Dimensity 7050 with an octa-core configuration: four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, working alongside a Mali-G610 GPU.
The device will run XOS 16, Infinix’s customized version of Android 16. The software introduces Glow Space design elements, which incorporate semi-transparent UI components with a frosted glass appearance and 3D spatial wallpapers that position themselves behind icons and the clock.
XOS 16 also adds Live Photo transfer compatibility with iPhones, addressing a long-standing cross-platform limitation.
For now, Infinix has not revealed whether the device will launch in Kenya or announced pricing for any market.
