Infinix Zero X series was officially launched early last week during the Infinix Presents: See Beyond event in partnership with the Royal Observatory Greenwich.

The smartphone company has finally launched the Zero X series in the country.

Here’s the breakdown of the smartphone’s features – all of which are huge upgrades over the Infinix Zero 8 from last year:

Infinix Zero X Pro ships with top of the line specs including a new 108MP triple camera setup that now features OIS(Optical Image Stabilization)

We also have an 8MP ultrawide with a 120-degree field of view and an 8MP periscope lens that has 5X Optical zoom and 60X hybrid zoom.

Infinix Zero X Pro Camera Setup

These two camera layouts are also present in the regular Zero X and Zero Neo.

Infinix Zero X, Zero X Pro, Zero X Neo unveiled

Infinix Zero X has a 64MP main camera that also has OIS while the Zero Neo has a 48MP main camera but with no OIS.

All three feature a centred punch-hole 16MP selfie camera.

Coming to the display, the Infinix Zero X Pro and the Zero X both have 6.67″ AMOLED screens. They also have a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz sampling rate.

Their predecessor had LCD screens and a 90Hz refresh rate.

The Zero X Neo has a 6.78″ LCD screen featuring a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.

At the helm of the Zero X series is a MediaTek Helio G95 processor and Mali G76 MC4 GPU coupled with 8GB RAM(standard for all three) that features up to 3GB Extended RAM paired with 128GB and 256GB of onboard storage.

They also have UFS 2.2 support.

Underneath we get 4500mAh batteries for the Zero X Pro and Zero X that support TUV Rheinland certified 45W fast charging that company says will charge the phone to 40% in 15 minutes – we’ll test that in our upcoming reviews.

It’s worth noting that its predecessor supported 33W quick charging and it’s good to see Infinix out into use its ultra-fast charging tech.

The Zero X Neo has a beefier 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.

Infinix Zero X series comes powered by Android 11 and XOS 7.6.

Infinix Zero X series features Galaxy Dual Glass Back finish and light finishing.

Infinix Zero X Pro will come in Tuscany Brown, Nebula Black and Starry Silver.

Infinix Zero X will be available in Black and Silver while the Neo will come in Black, Silver and Bahamas Blue.

Infinix also launched two TWS earbuds – Infinix XE20 and XE25.

Infinix XE20 come with 10mm drivers, 60ms low latency mode and a composite diaphragm.

Infinix XE25 feature a graphene diaphragm, ENC(Environmental Noise Cancelation), over 100 hours of playback time at least according to what Infinix says and the charging case has an LCD display to show battery charge.

Pricing and Availability

Infinix Zero X will start retailing from Ksh 36,999.

The Infinix Zero X series smartphone will be available offline at the company’s retails stores countrywide and online too at XPARK – their official online store and other online e-commerce partners.

What They Are Saying

“Infinix is not only a brand that combines quality performance, cutting-edge technology and innovative design at accessible prices in comparison to other smartphone devices in today’s market, but also known for creating devices to cater to the needs of consumers in the emerging markets.” shared Charles Ding, Deputy Product Director of ZERO X Series at Infinix Mobility.

“The ZERO X Pro will feature the latest camera technology and image optimization to be inspire young adults and emerging professionals to explore their creativity and place the power of professional photography firmly in their hands,” he continues.
