Tecno Phantom v Fold2 was recently announced on 13th September 2024. This device is expected to be released in the market this September. The phone comes with mind-blowing features.

Body Design

Tecno Phantom V FOld2 weighs 249 grams, making it slightly heavier than typical smartphones, but this is expected given the foldable design. When the device is unfolded, it measures 159 mm in height, 140.4 mm in width, and is 6.1 mm thick. When folded, the width reduces to 72.2 mm, and the thickness increases to 11.8-12 mm. Additionally, it supports dual Nano-SIM cards with dual stand-by capability, allowing you to manage two different SIM cards at once. With an IP54 rating, the device is dust and splash resistant.Tecno Phantom v Fold2 likely supports a stylus, which could be used for note-taking.

Platform

This android device runs on android 14. It is guaranteed up to receive two major android upgrades. The custom user interface is HiOS 14Fold with enhanced features and screen transitions. Additionally, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+, a high-performance 4 nm chipset. Tecno Phantom V Fold2 comes equipped with an Octa-core CPU configured as follows; 1x Cortex-X2 core clocked at 3.20 GHz, 3x Cortex-A710 cores running at 2.85 GHz, and a 4x Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 1.80 GHz. The device’s GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is the Mali-G710 MC10, featuring 10 cores.

Display

Tecno phantom V Fold2 features a foldable LTPO AMOLED display that supports 1 billion colors and a 120Hz refresh rate. The main display measures 7.85 inches, providing 196.9 cm² of viewing space, with an impressive 88.2% screen-to-body ratio. It boasts a resolution of 2000 x 2296 pixels, achieving a pixel density of around 388 ppi. The display reaches a peak brightness of 1600 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The cover display 6.42 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 2550 pixels and a pixel density of 431 ppi.

Camera

Tecno Phantom V Fold2 comes equipped with a triple camera system. Its primary camera features a 50 MP wide-angle lens with an f/1.9 aperture, a 23mm focal length, 1/1.3″ sensor size, and 1.2µm pixel size. Additionally, it comes with PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus), and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for sharp, high-quality photos. The main camera also features a Telephoto and Ultrawide camera. The device supports video recording at 4K resolution at 30fps and 1080p at both 30fps and 60fps.

For selfies, the device has a 32 MP front camera with an f/2.5 aperture, a 1/2.8″ sensor, and 0.8µm pixel size for clear, detailed selfies. The cover camera is also a 32 MP wide lens with the same f/2.5 aperture and sensor specs. Both front cameras support 1080p video recording at 60fps

This android device comes with a generous internal storage of 512GB paired with 12GB of RAM, offering ample space for apps, media, and multitasking. Tecno Phantom V Fold2 does not feature a memory card slot for external storage expansion. The storage type is UFS (Universal Flash Storage), which ensures faster data transfer speeds and efficient performance.

Communication

Tecno Phantom V Fold2 comes equipped with advanced communication features, starting with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e support for faster and more reliable internet connectivity. It also features a Bluetooth 5.3 with A2DP and LE for wireless connections. Moreover, it supports multiple satellite systems including GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BDS, ensuring highly accurate location tracking. It also has a USB Type-C port with OTG (On-The-Go) functionality

Battery

Tecno Phantom V Fold2 is powered by a 5750 mAh non-removable battery. It supports 70W wired charging, which can charge the battery to 50% in just 20 minutes and achieve a full charge in 49 minutes. Additionally, the device supports 15W wireless charging, providing a convenient and cable-free charging option.

Tecno Phantom V Fold2 is equipped with several advanced sensors to enhance user experience. It has a fingerprint processor located under the display. Also, it’s available in two color options: Blue and Green, giving users a choice of sleek and stylish finishes.
