Infinix Kenya has launched pre-orders for the Hot 60i smartphone, kicking off its new Hot 60 Series with a device that packs premium features into budget pricing.
Pre-orders run through July 10 with a KES 3,000 deposit, and early buyers can snag the Infinix XBUDS 3 earphones for free.
The Hot 60i undercuts competitors with two variants: KES 12,799 for 6GB RAM/128GB storage and KES 15,199 for 8GB RAM/256GB storage. Both models support expandable storage and include Infinix’s extended RAM technology that boosts performance.
Infinix has also revealed pricing for upcoming models: Hot 60 Pro at KES 18,999 and Hot 60 Pro+ ranging from KES 21,999 to KES 24,999 (depending on the configuration you choose), creating a comprehensive lineup targeting different budgets.
The Hot 60i breaks new ground for the Hot series with DeepSeek R1 integration and a dedicated side button for Folax AI, Infinix’s assistant. AI features were previously reserved for premium devices, so it’s nice to see budget smartphones finally catching up.
Running Android 15 with XOS 15.1.1 overlay, the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate processor powers a 6.78-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 800-nit peak brightness. The phone measures a slim 7.7mm thick despite weighing just 188 grams.
Photography relies on a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and 2MP secondary sensor, plus an 8MP front camera. The rear module sports three circular cutouts but only two functional cameras, creating a high-end appearance at a budget cost.
The real showstopper is the massive 5,160mAh battery paired with 45W fast charging and 10W reverse charging. This combination delivers all-day power and quick top-ups, addressing the biggest pain point for budget smartphone users.
As expected, the Hot 60i doesn’t skimp on connections with 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner handles security, while an IP64 rating provides splash and dust protection.
Six color options span from conservative Sleek Black and Titanium Silver to bold Neon Red, Meadow Green, and Soul Eye Purple.
The Infinix Hot 60i enters the fierce budget smartphone battleground in Kenya packed with features typically found in devices costing twice as much.
Its AI integration, substantial battery, and 120Hz display challenge established players like Tecno, Realme, and Redmi to match this value proposition.
