Rich South Florida philanthropist and self-proclaimed fool for love, who launched the groupon clone www.DealFool.com as a reaction to his wife’s ultimatum of no sex until he became more charitable, has announced the winner of his $5,000 giveaway.  He is also announcing that his charity drive will not stop at this one outreach effort. DealFool is launching the site with week-long deals for Father’s Day with portions of all proceeds going to various charities such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

After reading through thousands of stories that poured into DealFool from everyday individuals in need, it was the simple heartfelt submission from Robert Nichols, a substitute teacher and football coach at the Village Academy in Delray Beach, that struck a chord with the philanthropist and his wife.

Deal Fool will allocate funds to develop a junior varsity football program at Village Academy, a public K-9 school that serves low income neighborhoods of Delray Beach, to provide younger students an opportunity to play and increase their skills outside the classroom.

“It’s a blessing for Deal Fool to take the time to give back and recognize that these children are in need. Some kids don’t feel an education is important but still want to play sports,” says Nichols, “so they apply more effort to maintain the grades needed to be able to play, and are held more accountable in the classroom.”

The philanthropist has partnered with Social Media Advisors to expand the site into a unique charitable Daily Deals site.DealFool will offer a daily deal for a variety of South Florida businesses including salons, spas, fitness centers and restaurants. Fashionistas, fitness fanatics and foodies will rejoice at DealFool’s upscale offerings, which will include discounts of up to 50% off.  DealFool will help stimulate South Florida’s economy.  The site’s promise is threefold: help struggling local businesses by increasing their customers, provide consumers with hot, discounted deals and share in the site’s success by donating to charity.
