Federico Uribe is a Miami-based artist who thought of recycling old computer parts for his next work of art. The result was an eye-catching sculpture of a carpet titled “Tapete”. The final work has a striking resemblance to an Arabian carpet though the materials used are definitely unconventional. A lot of imagination went into the sculpture with wire caps, broken circuit boards, phone connectors and many other computer parts going into the sculpture.
“We are overwhelmed by objects so I use them,” says Federico Uribe. “This is about thinking that objects are not objects themselves, objects are materials themselves.”
