The company is planning to do the same in New York with the KVM Center of Excellence. Interested parties will get training and hands-on experience on building enterprise KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) solutions. IBM Business Partners including Red Hat and SUSE will also showcase their KVM-based solutions at the KVM Center.

The company’s cloud services and software will be based on OpenStack and KVM. This is part of IBM’s effort to promote industry-wide open standards for cloud computing.
