GALAXY S4 Overheating problem fix

For those who were having overheating issues I think I stumbled upon a fix. For those unaware and were lucky enough not to be plagued by this ailment,  the phone would reach external temperatures of between 40-50°C as viewed on your phone when you press the digits *#0228#.

I’ll go straight to the point… Two apps had been over reaching and over using the processor. These two apps are Samsung Link and Samsung Push Service. The trick is to disable them if uninstalling their update doesn’t work. This can be done by going to SETTINGS > MORE (TAB) > APPLICATION MANAGER > ALL (TAB). Once you’re there select the respective apps and uninstall the updates or go further and disable them. This is preferably done under the XXUAMDK UPDATE. This should free you to enjoy the wonderful Galaxy S4.

  1. Even after i disabled samsung push service and samsung link my s4 still heats up to 40-50°C when im playing game ):

  2. well i tried these workarounds …still my device heats above 45 degress while browsing or playing games… or youtube straming …

  3. heat up a pin red hot and poke a few tiny holes around the cam area, press the pin in through the finished side as to avoid visible bumps…. its a tiny adjustment but it should allow a bit more breathing room for that processor sitting in an oven…
