The 2013 edition of AITEC East Africa will host over 2000 participants from across the region’s ICT industry. This year’s theme examines the power of ICT and its impact on the quality of life in the region. The conference provides a platform for intensive education on leading technology and business ideas. ICT professionals and business also have the opportunity to network and interact with manufacturers, service providers and policy-making leaders.
Featured at the summit will be innovations and business ideas from incubatees at Strathmore’s iLab. A host of universities and training institutions will also be promoting their ICT courses in the Education Zone. Emerging ICT enterprises will also be showcasing their products and services at the ICT Start-ups Accelerator Zone.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to get in-depth knowledge through specialised forums including eGov East Africa Forum, the ICT Education Forum, and the East African Outsourcing Forum. These specialised forums will give ICT leaders a chance to discuss the effects of technology on the region’s economy. This includes ICT’s impact on agriculture, e-waste management and the use of ICT in education.
