Nokia is expected to announce 2014 flagship devices alongside other devices in the low end. Basically the announcement might span all ranges, high end, mid range and low end. However the low end proposition seems to be making most news due to the speculation that has been rife that Nokia will announce an Android smartphone for the emerging markets.
Now leaks and rumours have been abound fueling the conversation and Nokia is not in any way fighting it but is instead adding fuel to the fire. Previously Nokia updated the backgrounds of both Twitter and Facebook profiles with that Androidy shade of green, now we have this image teased from the Nokia blog.
This one has the now famous “X” cleverly shaped using arrows and text reminding us that we have 5 days and 15 hours to the announcement that will end all this. This teaser would serve to confirm to the Nokia die-hards who are yet to conceive that Nokia will indeed launch an Android phone. What they are expected to launch is a trimmed down Android 4.2 based fork minus all of Google services and in the stead of these have Nokia/Microsoft services like Here Maps, Skydrive, Office 365 among others.
We have very few days to find out what this device comes out wearing and I promise you this will be interesting. We will be headed to Mobile World Congress for the live launch and stay around for the news fresh from Fira Gran Via.
