Samsung Galaxy Apps Store Gets Dedicated Tab for Gear Apps

Samsung is introducing a dedicated tab for users to discover all applications developed for Gear devices, its lineup of wearables. The changes, which should already be effective at the moment or being rolled out for those yet to get them, are meant to harmonize Galaxy Apps, Samsung’s own app store.

Samsung’s portfolio of Gear-branded wearable devices ranges from smartwatches like the Gear S2 to headsets like the Gear Circle to fitness trackers like the Gear Fit.

Samsung is yet to introduce any new Gear devices this year but the changes in its app store mean that the company wants them to be front and centre of its mobile device strategy and we could be seeing some new hardware soon.
