Yeah, I think Instagram is trying too much to be like everyone else. Multi-photo Instagram galleries (albums) are finally coming to everyone. You will have the ability to publish several photos in a single post, which your followers can swipe through horizontally (this feature was only available to advertisers).
Instead of tapping on a photo, you long-press. From there, a prompt instructs you to select up to 10 images or videos. You can apply a single filter to all of them, or tap into each photo to apply separate effects before posting everything in a single gallery. Your followers and other Instagram users will be able to like individual photos in each post.
Lately, the company has seemed more focused on copying Snapchat and live video. But with this new feature, Instagram now feels more like Facebook. The feature was first spotted on Instagram Beta for Android by Droid-Life, and we could be seeing it roll-out to everyone, soon. So keep your eyes open for it.
I do not know what their end game is right now, but let us watch and see how far Instagram can go with their copy-paste strategy.
