Android people, our troubles are never ending. I sincerely might switch to iOS soon but as we wait for that to happen, let’s get to uninstalling some apps that are battery hogs, data hogs and RAM hogs.

Thanks to Avast, that antivirus company, has released a report that reveals which apps on the Google Play Store are feasting on our battery, RAM and most importantly, on our data.

20 Battery Draining Apps

  1. Samsung AllShare
  2. Samsung Security Policy Updates

20 Storage Hungry Apps

  1. Facebook

In the report, Avast recommends that you uninstall an app like Facebook and access the social media site through your browser. Other apps like Google Docs can be replaced by Microsoft Word which is less strenuous on your RAM.

For the apps you cannot delete, you should try reducing their notifications and also limiting their background activities. The worrying part is that you don’t need to open apps such as Facebook, Instagram and Chrome open for them to chew through your data.

In case you are running out of storage, consider clearing the cache on your Facebook, Instagram and Kindle app, for those who have them.
