vivo is launching the vivo Y30 exclusively on Jumia. This comes after they announced a new partnership with the African e-commerce site.
The vivo Y30 is the latest budget smartphone in the Y series and joins other vivo phones launched in the Kenya such as the vivo V19, vivo V17 Pro and vivo Y19 as the company cements it’s presence in the country.
This new partnership for the launch of the device will not only increase smartphone penetration in the country but also help fast-track JUMIA’s vision to drive digital inclusion in Africa.
vivo Y30 comes with a 6.47″ punch-hole display that the company calls “Ultra O screen surrounded by thin bezels and an acceptable chin.
The back features an AI quad-camera setup, a fingerprint sensor, and vivo branding at the bottom.
It’s a plastic build with an eye-catching design and comes in either Emerald Black and Moonstone White for the Kenyan market.
The Ulta-O screen comes with a resolution of 720 by 1560 pixels and an 82.9% screen to body ratio.
Fo oprtics, you get a 13MP primary(with f/2.2 aperture)
, 8MP ultra-wide(120 degree field of view), 2MP macro(4cm focal length) and 2MP depth. Videos are recorded in 1080p at 30fps.
Selfies are taken by the 8MP(f/2.05 aperture) front-facing punch-hole camera.
Running the device is Helio P35 processor, PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. vivo Y30 comes with Android 10 and Funtouch 10 too.
Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery that comes with 10W fast charging through a Type-C port.
The vivo Y30 will be available exclusively on Jumia for Ksh 16,999.
