Infinix Hot 10

Infinix Hot 10 has finally been launched in Kenya. The Hot series is the companies entry-level smartphone line which follows the Note series and then the flagship Zero series.

Infinix Hot 10 succeeds the Infinix Hot 9 launched earlier this year. We got to use the Infinix Hot 9 Play and it was a standout in the budget category.

Hopefully, the Infinix Hot 10 follows in the same path and raises the bar higher.

Infinix Hot 10 packs quite the features aimed for millennials and Gen Z.

Starting from the front we get an immersive 6.78″ Infinity-O display rocking a resolution of 720 by 1640 pixels. Infinix says that consumers will be treated to a bigger vision and greater horizon for their viewing pleasure, greatly enhancing the entertainment and gameplay experience.

Infinix’s Hot 10 back is crafted with laser engraving to create a visual perception of interlaced light and shadow to give that colour gradient premium feel and look.

You’ll get the option to pick from various colour options such as Obsidian Black, Ocean Wave, Amber Red(pictured above) and Moonlight Jade.

The rear fingerprint sensor is also present slightly below the AI-powered quad-camera setup that features a 16MP primary camera, 2MP macro camera, 2MP depth and an AI lens and a quad-LED flashlight in the rectangular camera bump in the top left.

There’s an 8MP punchhole selfie camera at the front of the screen with dual flash lights.

Features the camera come with include AI beautification, super night mode, auto picture correction function that will clear up those rushed shots and more.

We’ll be testing all these in the couple of days.

Under the hood is a Helio G70 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.

The G70 processor has MediaTek Hyper Engine Game Technology chip, giving it a 123% upgrade on single CPU frequency and a 64% upgrade on the Multi CPU frequency.

Infinix says that the excellent fluency and stability provided by the MediaTek Helio G70 chip will give users the experience of “Extreme Speed” as they immerse themselves in gameplay freely, anytime and anywhere.

Running the Infinix Hot 10 is Android 10 and XOS Dolphin v7.

Infinix Hot 10 also packs a gigantic 5200mAh battery and Infinix what they call power marathon tech – the company’s unique hardware power-saving technology that promises even reliable and consistent battery performance regardless of how long they are in-game or binge-watching.

For multimedia, Infinix included DTS audio processing technology that allows users to level up the sound effect for their enjoyment and even personalized sound effects to better enjoy the audio experiences while watching their favourite movies or listening to music or gaming.

For ports, you get a headphone jack and microUSB charging port next to the speaker grill at the bottom of the smartphone.

For biometrics, you can use the rear fingerprint sensor and the face unlock provided. The latter works with masks on and will come in handy with the COVID-19 pandemic going on.

What They Are Saying:

“We are very proud to bring you the latest in the HOT series. The HOT 10 is indeed designed for a smarter life, especially with the XOS 7.0. The XOS7.0 features a new visual design with trendy and rich colour to enhance excellent user experience. It is not only combined with intelligent features such as Smart Scanner, Ear-sensor Receiver, Ulife and others but also boasts outstanding performance and the latest native android features. We are confident that both our fans and new users will be amazed by the HOT 10’s power in terms of both hardware and software. It will certainly provide them with unlimited fun and possibilities!” said Mike Zhang, brand manager, Infinix Kenya.

Pricing and Availability

Infinix Hot 10 will be available in two variants including the regular Hot 10 which will start selling from Ksh 13,999 and the Hot 10 Lite for Ksh 10,499.

The Infinix Hot 10 Lite uses a MediaTek Helio A20 chip, 2/3 GB of RAM and 32/64 GB onboard storage configuration respectively. You also get a 13MP triple rear camera and a smaller 5000mAh battery.

Stay tuned for a full review of the Infinix Hot 10 coming out very soon.
