Samsung is set to host another event right after the January launch of the Galaxy S21 series. This second event slated for later this month is aptly called Galaxy Awesome Unpacked and will be happening on the 17th.
We might see the company officially announce the Galaxy A52 and A72 – their latest mid-range smartphones in the Galaxy A series to succeed the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 from last year.
Both A52 and A72 are slated to feature high refresh rate AMOLED displays with full HD+ resolution.
The Galaxy A52 will reportedly feature a 6.5″ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate(the 4G version might ship with 90Hz refresh rate).
They’ll be an in-display fingerprint sensor and the phone will ship with One UI 3.1 and Android 11 out of the box.
It will have two sets of configurations including 6GB RAM and 128GB storage or 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Optics-wise, we expect to see 64MP quad camera setups that will also have a 12MP ultrawide, 5MP depth and 5MP macro lens and a 32MP punch-hole selfie camera.
Powering the device will be a 4500mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging.
The Galaxy A72 will come with a 6.7″ AMOLED Panel with 90Hz refresh rate, 64MP quad camera setup including a 12MP ultrawide, 8MP telephoto zoom camera and 5MP macro lens and a 32MP punch-hole selfie camera.
Underneath, we expect Snapdragon 720G chip and either 6GB RAM and 128GB storage or 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The phone will ship with One UI 3.1 and Android 11 out of the box.
A 5000mAh battery and 25W fast wired charging will be included too.
