Huawei makes many devices, including wireless earbuds.
The company, which also announced many devices powered by its in-house operating system named HarmonyOS at a last week’s event, has revealed that it will bring the Freebuds 4i to the Kenyan market.
As of now, interested buyers can preorder the Bluetooth earphones across all retail stress in Kenya, including Huawei Experience Stores at Yaya Centre, Village Market, Sarit Centre, and TRM.
Preorders are live from today all the way to 13th July.
The price for a pair is KES 10000. The same amount will see buyers get other goodies: a Bluetooth Speaker and Freebuds 41 cover. However, the free bundle will only be available for people making pre-orders.
HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i carries the innate qualities of the FreeBuds family, with active noise cancellation (ANC), superior battery life and crystal-clear sound quality. It also features trendier personal elements to become the “go-to” earbuds for everyone and share the convenience and charm of new technology with more people. This is your ideal accessory that you must have when going about your day-to-day activities. – Huawei Mobile Kenya Country Head, Jim Zhujie.
Huawei continues to suffer from the US ban that saw it listed in the US Entity List by the Trump administration. The company has also been slow in terms of releasing smartphones because of low sales. It is still not clear whether the Chinese tech corporation would ever recuperate from the ban because its Chinese competitors have already overtaken it in terms of sale volumes.
It should also be remembered that at one time, Huawei was the leading smartphone seller after it emerged at the top of Apple and Samsung.
Nevertheless, with the existence of HarmonyOS, which had been teased many times before, Huawei could be devising a new approach into making its name known again in the smartphone space and other associated devices.
The company also says that its entire catalog of smart devices will eventually be powered by the said platform.
