Infinix Note 11 Pro Performance Review

Infinix Note 11 Pro was launched last week and is the company’s latest smartphone in the midrange Note series.

Infinix put plenty of power into its newest Note series and the specs pack the heat.

Before we get to what’s under its hood, Infinix Note 11 has a 6.95″ Super Fluid Display rocking 120Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate.

For cameras, we have a 64MP main snapper and a 13MP telephoto lens that offers 30X digital zoom. We also have a 2MP depth sensor.

A 16MP selfie camera is housed in the punch-hole cutouyt in the top centre of the screen. [A full camera tour will be coming out soon]

Infinix Note 11 Pro also has a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

Infinix Note 11 Pro ships with Helio G96 processor, Mali G57 GPU, 128GB of RAM and 8GB of RAM.

Infinix introduces MemFusion technology with the Note 11 Pro that extends the already existing 8GB RAM with an additional 3GB borrowed from the onboard memory.

This means that you now have 11GB of RAM to take advantage of especially if you are a heavy multitasker like I am.

Infinix Note 11 Pro also comes with Android 11 and XOS 10.

XOS 10 features on-trend system-wide icons, rebound effects, enhanced privacy packaged into a fresh and secure software experience. Alongside these headline features, XOS 10 comes with MOL translation engine, Smart Panel, Power Marathon, XClone, Monster Game Kit, and  Privacy Tracker for a seamless experience on the Note 11 series.

Other features include Dar-link 2.0 Game Booster Software, DTS Audio, SuperCool system that utilizes the 3D 9-layer graphene film for cooling, UFS 2.2 with Write Booster, linear motor technology and Insync application for multi-screen collaboration and ability to mirror images or cast pictures, videos and audio between the smartphone and a TV and use the smartphone as a remote control through simple touch and voice commands using artificial intelligence (AI) voice, which will be supported via an OTA software update.

Also, we might see Android 12 update coming through for the Note 11.

This powerhouse handled everything I threw at it. Gaming, heavy browsing, editing on the go and streaming.

No slouching with the Infinix Note 11 Pro when it came to my everyday tasks I put the phone through.

I was effortless switching between multiple apps – YouTube, Trello, Instgaram, Twitter, Gmail, Notion, Spotify through the whole day amidst heavy browsing on Chrome and there was no lag when getting back to these apps.

This phone promises reliable performance and offers it – no questions asked.

Gaming performance on this phone is a breeze thanks to the RAM, ROM and chip combination plus the software optimizations.

Heavy games like PUBG mobile, Asphalt 9, Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition, Among Us, Dead Trigger 2 and Call of Duty Mobile played at the highest graphics settings, utilising Infinix’s Monster Game Kit and the high refresh rate for a smooth experience.

Less intense games like Two Dots, Alto’s Odyssey, Ninja Arashi 2, Critical Ops, and NFS No Limits were also handled pretty well. No stuttering, no hanging frames whatsoever during gameplay.

Peformance is sustained through long periods of gaming without the back heating up as the Note 11 Pro uses the embedded 3D-layer graphene film to keep the heat at manageable levels.

That’s not all. There are a couple of features Infinix embedded to ensure that the Note 11 Pro delivers unquestionable performance with whatever you throw at it.

With MemFusion, Infinix uses “dual swap partition technology” and “hot and cold pages identification algorithm” in the swapping mechanism which marks hot and cold according to the memory page activity level and stores them in different swap partitions to reduce the erasure of storage devices.

This reduces the read back rate and improves the responsiveness of commonly used apps.

This feature can be accessed by going to settings, storage and then clicking the three-dot icon note top right corner and then selecting the MemFusion checkbox.

AI prediction algorithm has also been utilised with the Note 11 Pro and this predicts background apps that will not be used for a period of time, based on users regulations and saves them to the extended memory.

Verdict

The Infinix Note 11 Pro is powerful enough and all these competitive specs deliver results worthy of its pro moniker.

Stay tuned for our full review and full camera tour coming later this week.

Pricing and Availability

Infinix Note 11 Pro goes for Ksh 27499 offline at the company’s retail stores countrywide and online too at XPARK – their official online store and other online e-commerce partners like Jumia.
