Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED 2023 Launch Kenya

We have a new kid on the block. The Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED(2023) is the company’s latest laptop for the Kenyan market. This version succeeds last year’s version which is now thinner and lighter.

It comes in weighing less than a Kg(0.99) and even thinner at under half an inch(0.43″).

The back sports an artistic flair to it with a fingerprint resistant texture manufactures in the most eco-friendly way as Asus used pure water and the lid was made of recyclable ceramic aluminium.

Zenbook S 13 OLED comes in two colours: Ponder Blue and Basalt Grey.

We get a 13 inch 16:10 OLED screen at the front coming at a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and brightness peaking at 550 nits.

There’s a generous offering of ports – headphone jack, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4(one to connect to a 4K monitor and the other a 65W charging port) and a HDMI 2.1 port.

It’s worth noting that you can charge the laptop using other Type-C chargers and even a portable battery.

The webcam gets improved as the Asus laptop has two-way AI noise cancellation, eye tracking, background blurring and light optimization. This is Asus AiSense FHD camera with 3DNR IR and colour and ambient light sensor.

We have a backlit keyboard with wide keys. The trackpad is large as well.

The keyboard has a switch to disable the webcam.

We have two Harman Kardon certified inbuilt speakers with Dolby Atmos.

Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED 2023 Sound

Powering the Zenbook S 13 OLED is Intel 13th gen Core i7-1355U which is an upgrade over last year’s 12th Gen U-series. The 13 OLEd from last year used the AMD Ryzen 6000 series. Our unit comes with 16GB RAM(LPDDR5) and 1TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD.

It comes with Windows 11, MyAsus app and McAfee software.

Underneath is a 63Wh battery that Asus says will provide all day battery life. A 65W Type-C adapter is provided in the box(Input: 100–240V AC, 50 / 60Hz universal; Output: 20V DC, 100W)
