compare Huawei Mate 60 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro

In the world of smartphones, two models that have been making waves are the Huawei Mate 60 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro. Both phones boast impressive specifications and features, but how do they stack up against each other?

Let’s dive in for a brief comparison of these two devices.

Huawei Mate 60 Pro vs iPhone 15 Pro Chipsets

The Huawei Mate 60 Pro is powered by a Kirin 9000(5G) chip, while the iPhone 15 Pro uses an A17 pro(5G) chip. Both chips are designed to provide fast and efficient performance, with added support for 5G connectivity.

iPhone 15 Pro offers the iOS 17 operating system out of the box. On the other hand, Huawei Mate 60 Pro is the first to use HarmonyOS 4.0.

The iPhone 15 pro is the first to have a USB-C port. It has a USB Type-C 3.0 while the Huawei has USB Type-C 3.1. The iPhone is lighter at 187 grams while the Huawei weights 225 grams.

Kirin 9000 Chip

The Kirin 9000(5G)  chip is designed by HiSilicon, the chip design unit of  Huawei Technologies. The chip is manufactured by  China-based SMIC using its 2nd  generation 7nm-class process and stacking. It makes history as the first Chinese-made chip with 5G capabilities.

Iphone 15 A17 Chip

The A17 pro(5G) chip is designed by  Apple Inc. and manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC). Apple is TSMC’s largest customer. The A17 Pro is the first 3nm chip utilized in an iPhone.

Memory

For the Huawei Mate 60 Pro: 256GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 12GB RAM, 1TB 12GB RAM.

While the iPhone 15 Pro: 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 8GB RAM, 512GB 8GB RAM, and 1TB 8GB RAM

Plenty of storage, providing ample space for apps, photos, videos, and other data.

Screen & Display

The Huawei features a 6.83-inch LTPO OLED display, offering vibrant colours and deep blacks. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro comes with a slightly smaller 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, known for its accurate colours and brightness.

Battery Life

When it comes to battery life, the Huawei Mate 60 Pro takes the lead with a 5000mAh battery, compared to the iPhone 15 Pro’s 3274mAh battery. This could potentially mean longer usage times between charges for the Mate 60 Pro.

Price of The Two

Price is often a deciding factor when choosing a new phone. The Huawei Mate 60 Pro is priced at 892 USD, making it slightly more affordable than the iPhone 15 Pro, which is priced at a 1099 USD.

In conclusion, both phones offer top-tier performance and features. The choice between the two may come down to personal preference, brand loyalty, or budget considerations.

iPhone users tend to swear by Apple products in an almost cultish manner. On the other hand, the new Huawei will excite Android users adding another top-range model to choose from.

Huawei has been coy about the new phone. The Chinese company quietly started selling the Mate 60 Pro in August, without a formal launch event or sharing full technical specifications.

Apple did the usual launch with pomp. However, the American company is facing complaints from users about overheating of its new iPhone 15 models. Some customers claim the titanium frame becomes too hot to hold.

Whether you’re an Android enthusiast or an Apple aficionado, both these phones offer compelling reasons to consider them for your next upgrade.
