Oraimo Watch ES 2 Review

Oraimo Watch ES 2 is the company’s latest wearable in the country. The Watch ES 2 is among their most premium smartwatches; we’ve had it for close to a month and here’s our in-depth review.

Besides being a smartwatch, the Watch ES 2 is a wellness tracker with 24-hour health monitoring and pushes over a week on a full charge on average with mixed-use. Together with the Oraimo Health app, the Watch ES 2 is a fit investment – pun intended.

DESIGN

The Watch ES 2 has a square watch face sporting a much larger 1.95-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 410 by 502 pixels. The display is great and pretty to look at – it’s bright and vivid, handy when you’re outdoors to keep up with your incoming notifications(texts, calls and reminders), and health activity and fitness stats. It also supports wrist wake, tap to wake and an always-on display for quick glances.

You can customize the dial faces and the look of the Always-on display from the app or directly from the watch.

Oraimo Watch ES 2 Screen

It is pretty light at 32.7 grams with rubber straps and the watch has IP68 ingress protection meaning it’s waterproof and dustproof which is perfect for outdoor use as you can have no worries when it suddenly rains during your outdoor workouts or when you’re doing water sports detailed below.

The back has charging pins and a heart rate sensor. To the left is the speaker grille. To the right is the sports setting button, a microphone and a digital crown that’s also the home button. Pressing the crown opens the watch’s app and functions and you can turn it to access them or simply scroll through the screen. The button quickly launches the workout modes.

PERFORMANCE

The Oraimo Watch ES 2 works well with the Oraimo Health app available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. You can pair your smartphone with the watch to sync not only the health data but also get notifications.

The Oraimo Health app will ask you to fill in your health data including gender, weight, and height.

For health, the watch can track your step count, and calories burned. It can measure the heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep and its stages, respiratory rate, and stress. It has a cycle tracker that can track your period if you’re a female.

Oraimo Watch ES 2 Features

You can set step goals, activity goals and caloric goals and the rings gamify the whole experience as you rush to complete them.

The Watch ES 2 supports tracking workouts automatic ranging from running, walking, cycling, swimming, fitness, ball, outdoor, dance, badminton, yoga, core training and more. So if your fitness goals are casual like me or a fitness buff, the watch will meet all your exercise needs.

Those 100 sport modes are real by the way – from Kabadii, paddle boarding, kickboxing, skipping rope, ski, frisbee, darts, puck, tennis, hockey, fencing, situps, deadlift, barbell training, CrossFit, rock climbing, martial arts, judo, Zumba, street dance, handball, volleyball, croquet, cricket, indoor skating, pilates and more.

There are other health reminders such as extended sitting reminders, water intake reminders, handwash reminders and sleep REM measurements.

@techweez

Experience the future of wellness on your wrist with the Oraimo Watch ES 2. It has over 100 sports modes, and a stunning 1.95″ AMOLED display and tracks your heart rate, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, stress levels, and even sleep patterns. Swiping from the left of the watch gives you access to the health data, and alarms while swiping from the right shows you music controls and health data. Swiping from the top shows you notifications and swiping from the bottom shows your quick settings.

The watch supports some phone functionalities through Bluetooth as you can make and receive a call after synchronizing contacts(100). There’s a dial pad as well. The Call history supports quick callback and you can even set quick text replies in the app when you get a call and can’t talk at the moment. The call quality is pretty clear as well.

Other Features

You get a world clock, weather widget, flashlight, calculator, search for device and remote camera button.

BATTERY LIFE

The Oraimo Watch ES 2 has a 300mAh battery and it can go more than a week on light use and Oraimo says it can do 20 days on standby. It takes a full 2 and a half hours to charge.

VERDICT

The Oraimo Watch ES 2 is an impressive smartwatch and a true workout companion with its big and bright screen offering high information density, nice design, reliable automatic health and fitness tracking, built-in media controls, support for quick callback and reply texts, excellent battery life, straight forward software making it a fantastic option for anyone seeking for an affordable wearable.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

It goes for Ksh 4500 on Oraimo’s website and you can buy it here which gives you a big discount on your purchase. You also get a 365-day warranty.
