Infinix has stealthily launched the Hot 60i in Bangladesh without the usual fanfare, indicating the start of its new Hot 60 smartphone series.
The device appeared on retailer websites with no official announcement, suggesting that the smartphone maker was going for a soft launch approach.
The Hot 60i measures 167.9 x 75.6 x 7.7mm with a plastic frame and back, plus a glass front. It features splash-proofing and comes in Sleek Black and Titanium Grey colors. The rear camera module has three circular cutouts but only houses two functional cameras, with the third being decorative.
Its screen consists of a 6.78-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate and 800-nit peak brightness. Inside the device sits a MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate processor paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage, respectively. This combination powers the Android 15 with XOS 15.1 overlay.
Photography is handled by a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. The front camera is 8MP with f/2.0 aperture.
Connectivity includes 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security.
The biggest selling point of the Infinix Hot 60i, though, is the massive 5,160mAh battery with 45W charging support. Pricing starts at approximately $115 (~ KES 14,900) for the 6GB/128GB variant and $135 (~ KES 17,500) for the 8GB/256GB model.
Currently available only in Bangladesh, there’s no word on expansion to other markets. We’ll keep you informed on when you can expect it to launch in Kenya, so watch this space.
