Nokia 808 Pureview, the award winning camera-phone by Nokia roll-out begins this month, May. First countries to experience it will be Russia and India(why does it have to be Russia always?). Nokia 808 is known for its record-breaking cameraphone capabilities, donning the 41mp camera that provides sharp images with a max of 38mp max resolution. Nokia Pureview came as a result of over 4 years of research and was launched on February on the Symbian Anna platform. It made Nokia get positive mentions even with the dwindling fortunes caused by the platform shift from Symbian to Windows, the latter which is having slow customer adoption, the former which has been tagged as a burning platform for some time now.
Nokia 808 is a smartphone you would consider to use since it gives point and click camera makers a run for their money, having given so high imaging only previously available on commercial cameras on a smartphone. Lets wait and see the rush of users to get a piece of the Pureview. Personally I would love it. As usual, other markets get to sell the device gradually, though no info is provided by Nokia of the schedule. Neither is the price indicated.
[UPDATE] Nokia and Carl Zeiss have, after 7 years of collaboration, extended the business partnership. This means you are going to be seeing Carl Zeiss technology on Nokia phones for longer.
