The CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group has confirmed that he won’t be present at the major Microsoft occasion on 29th October that shall see the launch of its windows phone 8 OS, alluding the “Sino-US” political and economic storm.
The announcement was made on China’s version of Twitter, Sina Weibo and he went further to comment that he hoped people were not surprised by the announcement. Huawei was expected to attend the event as it is developing a WP8 based Smartphone.
The ongoing argument over a political statement which advised US firms to avoid commerce with Huawei and ZTE could distract attention from Microsoft if a Huawei representative appeared.
Regardless of all this, Huawei will appear at the Microsoft WP8 launches in other countries though, particularly the UK which has more relaxed approach to the company than the US of A.
