Postpay electricity customers in Kenya will now have an added paypoint to pay their monthly bills, thanks to a partnership realized earlier between Kenya Power and Family Bank. The partnership allows for real-time payments of electricity bills at any of the 67 banking halls and 110 ATMs under Family Bank. Kenya Power comes from a point of the need to clear the halls of queues, mostly since there is increased consumers with the ongoing rural electrification program.
Electricity bill payments will be possible via the increased bill payment touch-points. Family Bank also on the other hand seeks to appeal to non-banking customers to appreciate banking with increased products in the usual day to day activities.
