Amazon has announced an upgrade to its Cloud Drive service. The Cloud Drive desktop app is a tool aimed at both Macs and PCs. Cloud Drive creates a folder on the desktop and instantly syncs the files dropped into it. If the app is installed on multiple devices, all of the user’s files can be synced across the devices.
Amazon has an offer for an initial 5GB of free storage for Cloud Drive users. The user can sync files on the drive with music previously purchased from Amazon’s music service. This does not count against the drive’s storage total. There are also yearly plans starting at $10 for 20GB worth of storage. Included with the drive is Amazon’s Cloud Player storing 250 songs with free streaming. An upgrade to 250,000 songs goes for $25 a year.
