Applications for Google I/O 2014 open up between the 8th and 10th of April. Selection will be done randomly after this window, successful applicants should receive confirmation emails shortly after this. This is different from earlier events when applicants were registered on a first come, first served basis. For those who won’t be able to attend the event, keynotes and sessions will be available through livestream video. There will also be I/O Extended events where devs can follow the sessions through Hangouts.
