NotForgotten.co.ke was launched to commemorate victims of attacks in Kenya. The website went live on Thursday seeks to remember those killed in Garissa attacks, Westgate Mall attack and the Tana River attacks by providing a gallery of their photos and memories.
The website is cordinated by Morris Kiruga whose initial aim was coordination of the victims and missing person’s data collection including finding and adding details as well as photos of the victims. Most of the information on the site is crowdsourced hence the need to verify the information. “The idea is to make sure that all these individuals are never forgotten. That we never allow ourselves to ever forget again, as a nation”, he said in a Facebook post.
The website is also championing for people to get involved in the project by becoming volunteers to share information on victims of the three attacks or through a donate your birthday campaign that seeks to rally your friends to give back in the lives of those affected by the three incidences.
