Kenyatta vinePresident Uhuru Kenyatta has released his first Vine post where he speaks only 9 words “A country that epitomizes the transformational power of possibility”. Brevity is the gist of the Vine world and his vine shows his focus & mandate for an upcoming summit.

The hashtags #GES2015Kenya and #ChooseKenya were added on the Vine which means it was in relation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) which is to be held in Nairobi on July 25-26 and will be graced by US President, Barack Obama. This annual summit is important since it is a gathering of entrepreneurs at all stages of business development, business leaders, mentors, and high level officials as described on the GES website ( http://www.ges2015.org/ ).

The President (or his digital teal) has proven to be quite apt in adopting social media use and by extension his government. He has a sizable following on Twitter (952,000+ followers and counting), Instagram (35,000+) and even a higher count on Facebook (1.6 million). However his following on Vine is relatively small (around 3,500 followers).

We are only left to wonder if during the GES conference if he’ll use other social networking apps like Periscope or even far-fetching over here… Snapchat. It would be cool if he used Periscope alongside Obama to answer a few questions about the summit from the public or even take selfies with attendees and upload them on Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook or even Twitter.
