iflix, a video on demand service whose main focus is set on emerging markets has finally set foot in Kenya. As of May, 2017, iflix had a total of 5 million subscribers and was available in Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Brunei, the Maldives, Pakistan, Vietnam, Myanmar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, Cambodia, and Nigeria.

Consumers in Kenya can sign up for a 30-day free trial via iflix’s website, www.iflix.com, giving them unlimited access to thousands of the world’s best TV shows, movies and more on every device they own, with no credit card required and no obligations.

iflix prides itself in having over 170 studio and distributor partnerships, offering its subscribers “the largest selection of iconic, critically acclaimed TV series and fan-favourite films both internationally and locally” for a monthly retail subscription of only Ksh.260.

The catalogue consists of Hollywood, Asian and African TV shows and exclusive movies. Subscribers will be able to access the service on up to five devices, including smartphones, laptops, tablets and smart TVs. However, it is prudent to keep in mind that you can only watch on two devices simultaneously.

iflix also lets subscribers download shows on their mobile devices to watch while on the move or when not connected to the internet.

“We are incredibly excited to bring iflix’s world class service to Kenya. With the largest selection of the best TV shows and movies from all over the world, iflix is primed to revolutionize the way we as Kenyans consume entertainment. What makes Iflix different to other Internet TV Service providers is the great and intimate appreciation that we have for our consumers. From our content mix to our focus on localization- our consumers and their needs are key,” said Paul Coogan, iflix Kenya Country Manager.
