You may have heard of PesaPal, which is a payments company that allows individuals and businesses to make or accept payments.
Today, they have made a big move by going mobile with apps on both Android and iOS.
The new app aggregates payments from different service providers so that you can access them easily.
You can buy airtime from telcos like Safaricom, Airtel or Telkom. You can also pay your Kenya Power, DStv, GoTV, Faiba or Zuku bills.
There is also the ability to pay school fees for upto 12,000 schools, booking international flights on major airlines (KLM, Emirates, South African and Kenyan Airways) as well as local airlines (East Africa Airways, AirKenya, Jetways, Silverstone and Safarilink).
Holiday goers will also be able to pay for packages from over 200 hotels in Kenya as well as international ones (Thailand, Dubai, Malaysia and Singapore).
PesaPal is partnering with Ticketsasa for paying of events, flights and holidays and with Yum for food delivery. They are also plans to include insurance and online shopping partners to the app.
You will be able to transact for free on the app using MPESA, MasterCard or VISA. You can save these details on the app so that it charges transactions on the platforms. Regarding MPESA, PesaPal says that you will be able to transact with mobile money without leaving the app, which is great.
This is a great addition since using apps is usually more seamless for the average consumer with a modern day smartphone. You can check out the app on iOS and Android.
