Last year, we got the chance to play with Xiaomi’s Redmi 6A (the Redmi name is now a sub-brand, so you will be seeing lots of Redmi phone without the Xiaomi logo). It was a compact device that punched above its selling price (under KES 10,000 at that time), and even had an edge over the competition by supporting 4G. However, performance was a hit or miss, the camera was slow and battery life was not stellar. These are issues that the 7A is attempting to address as the new device has a 4000 mAh juicer while maintaining the same screen size. We will know if performance is better as the P22 chipset in the 6A has been replaced by S439. Here are the rest of the specifications:
