The iPhone 12 rumors are off hot from the presses and the phone is roughly 4 months away if it is announced on September this year. This hasn’t stopped people from dropping delicious specs about the upcoming iPhones and they are juicy.

Front Page Tech on YouTube dropped a whole laundry list of the upcoming iPhones including the various specs we should expect from them. Jon RThe new iPhones will feature new displays, upgraded storage capacities, the A14 chip, 5G, and more RAM which is great to see.

The most interesting thing about the leaks is that Apple might drop the 64GB base storage from their iPhone lineup. iPhones usually have no way to expand that storage so you are stuck with the storage you bought. 64GB is barely enough nowadays where we take photos, videos and use apps and games that gobble up data fast.

The rumors suggest that they will have 128GB on the base model and that is great news for everybody. 128GB is more than enough for everyone without giving you “storage anxiety.”

The surprises do not end there. Allegedly, there will be four variants in the iPhone 12 series.

There will be the iPhone 12 which will have a 5.4″ OLED display with 4GB of  RAM and will start at $649 for the base model. Next is the iPhone 12 Max with a 6.1 inch OLED display with 4GB of RAM and starts at $749. This looks like the direct replacement of the iPhone 11. The iPhone 12 and 12 Max will have 5G, run on the A14 chip, and have aluminum builds.

The iPhone 12 Pro will have a 6.1 inch OLED screen with ProMotion with 10-bit color depth, 6GB of RAM and the base 128GB storage will start at the usual $999 price. ProMotion is Apple’s term for a high refresh rate screen that was first seen on the iPad Pro. This means that finally, Apple has caught up to the competition in providing high refresh rate screens.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max will have a 6.7″ display and the same type of screen and its base price is $1099. Just like the iPhone 12 Pro, it will have a stainless steel body and a triple camera setup with LiDAR that we saw on the new iPad Pro.

This is quite interesting from Apple. If this turns out to be true, the most interesting iPhone to take note will be that 5.4 inch iPhone 12 that I bet would sell like hotcakes. Also the addition of ProMotion on the Pro models will justify the higher price tags of those iPhones.

Thanks to the complications of world economics due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we may not see the iPhone 12 in September, but that does not mean that we won’t see such leaks from disappearing any time soon.
