OPPO Reno 4, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone has finally been launched in Kenya. OPPO also launched their first smartwatch to the country too in an online-only launch.

It looked like OPPO saved the best for last, at least in Kenya.

The smartphone company has been teasing about the Reno 4 on its social media pages and now you can have one in your hand after today’s launch.

OPPO Reno 4 packs quite the features.

Starting from the front is the beautiful 6.4″ AMOLED screen that gives the phone the compact look most of us will love.

The screen features 1080 by 2400 pixels with an aspect ratio of 20:9(411 ppi) and an 83.5% screen to body ratio.

The nearly bezel-less display is only interrupted at the top left with the punch hole cutout to accomodate the dual selfie cameras.

They come in handy for quickly unlocking the phone with your face. You can use the indisplay fingerprint reader also which is just as fast.

OPPO Reno 4 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chip, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

The phone is dual Sim with support for two nano-SIM cards and slot for microSD card.

You get ColorOS 7.2 and Android 10 out of the box.

OPPO Reno 4 is scheduled to get updated to Android 11 and ColorOS 11 when they become available for the device.

Also included is AI-enhanced smart sensor for coveninet touch free controls which will talk about and more in our review.

Lets shift to the optics the OPPO Reno 4 packs.

Starting with the dual selfie cameras – we get a 32MP primary and a 2MP depth sensor.

On the back we have a four camera setup what calls “innovative quadcam” aligned horizontally and includes a 48MP primary, 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP monochrome sensor.

OPPO has included innovative imaging features such as AI color portrait for both photo and video(monochrome video), night flare portrait, an ultra-steady mode for video and 960fps smart slow motion.

The straps are made of flouro-rubber and can easily be detached with buttons, continous heart rate monitoring, built-in GPS surrounded by a metal frame although the back frame is plastic.
