Galaxy A72

Samsung has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy A33, A53 and A73 – bringing a refresh to its midrange lineup.

The three phones ship with new upgrades but minus the charging brick and wired earphones.

Samsung Galaxy A33

Samsung Galaxy A33 replaces the Samsung Galaxy A32 from last year. This time around it is 5G powered and includes IP67 water and dust resistance rating – something its rivals lack in this price range.

Samsung Galaxy A33 rocks a 6.4″ FHD+ SuperAMOLED Infinity-U screen with 800 nits brightness. It picks the same 90Hz refresh rate from last years A32.

Dual stereo speakers also feature on this phone. Samsung, however, removed the headphone jack.

A much-needed upgrade was the processor – the A33 switches from the MediaTek Helio G80 to the company’s own Exynos 1280. This same processor is on the A53 too. We have 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB onboard storage.

Samsung Galaxy A33 comes with One UI 4.1 and Android 12. The company said that the A33 will get four years of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates.

We also have a 48MP main camera with OIS(Optical Image Stabilization) coupled with an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP depth and 5MP macro sensor. There’s a 13MP selfie camera.

Samsung Galaxy A53

The A52 was a really great midrange smartphone from last year. The Samsung Galaxy A53 HAS A 6.5″ FHD+ SuperAMOLED Infinity-O screen with 800 nits brightness. It has a 120Hz refresh rate.

Stereo speakers feature with the Samsung Galaxy A53 and yes, the headphone jack got axed here too.

Just like the A33, the 53 rocks the same inhouse chip – the Exynos 1280 chipset which is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 750G from last year’s A52.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 has a 64MP main camera featuring OIS plus a 12MP ultrawide, 5MP depth and 5MP macro camera. No telephoto lens here.

Samsung Galaxy A53 ships with a 5000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. It is also certified IP67 for water and dust resistance rating

Samsung Galaxy A53 comes with One UI 4.1 and Android 12 straight out of the box and is in line to get four years of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates.

Samsung Galaxy A73

This is Samsung’s top midrange smartphone and success the A72 from last year.

Samsung Galaxy A73 ROCKS A 6.7″ FHD+ SuperAMOLED Infinity-O screen and like the A53, sports 120Heresh rate.

The A73 is powered by Snapdragon 778G processor – an upgrade over the 750G from last year. It is paired with 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB onboard storage.
