Google is set to make its Magic Eraser feature, which was first introduced with the Pixel 6, available to all users of the Pixel phone lineup, says the search giant in a statement. The feature will also be accessible to other non-Pixel Android phones, and iOS users via the Google Photos app, but only if they have a Google One subscription.
Magic Eraser feature can identify issues in your pictures such as unwanted objects and can eliminate them with just a few taps. It also allows you to draw circles or brush over other items that you wish to remove, and Magic Eraser will erase them. The Camouflage feature in Magic Eraser can also change the color of objects in your picture to blend with the rest of the image, making the focal point stand out.
Google One subscribers will have access to the HDR feature for videos in the Google Photos app. This feature will be available to all users of the app.
That’s not all: for Google One subscribers, there will be an option to apply Styles to individual photos within the collage editor of the Google Photos app. Also, Google has announced that a new set of Styles will be released for all Pixel and Google One users, providing a wider selection of designs to choose from when creating collages.
The rollout of these features in Google Photos has already started for Pixel users and Google One subscribers. If you are not a Google One subscriber, you can take part in a free trial of Google Photos in early March to experiment with the new features before purchasing a Google One membership.
