Moto Razr

The Motorola Razr series is a legendary phone brand. It was rebooted in 2019 after it’s original production was halted back in 2007. Unfortunately, the Motorola Razr series hasn’t been getting as much attention as its rival the Samsung galaxy Z flip series. Well all that is about to change. On 1st June 2023 Motorola released their new premium foldable smart phone the Motorola Razr and Razr plus.

The Motorola Razr will be retailing at a price range of between KES 84,700 to KES 102,000 while the Motorola Razr+ will be retailing at approximately KES 165,000.

MOTOROLA RAZR +/MOTOROLA RAZR 40 +

The Motorola Razr + comes in three colors Infinite Black, Glacier Blue and Viva Magenta

Powering the phone is the Qualcomm SM8475 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor which offers a 10% increase in GPU clock speeds, 30% increase in GPU power and reduced power consumption. As for the RAM, you get 8GB or 12GB of RAM depending on the variant of the phone that you will buy.

Although the 256GB/512GB of storage you get with the phone is definitely enough to serve your needs, I’m sure fans of the brand would have appreciated the inclusion of a SD card slot.

As for the cameras, we get a 32 MP front camera and a 12MP wide rear camera paired with a 13mp ultra wide rear camera capturing videos at 30/60fps for 4K videos and 30/60fps for 1080p videos.

Additionally the phone ships with android 13 straight from the box.

The Motorola Razr is a cheaper lower spec version of the Motorola Razr +, but don’t let that fool you, the Motorola Razr packs quite a punch.

Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor which when compared to the snapdragon 778G chip offers an additional 20% graphical performance and 30% AI performance. Depending on the variant of the phone you buy, you’ll get either 8GB or 12GB of usable ram.

The phone also comes with 128GB/256GB of storage but just like the Motorola Razr+ it doesn’t come with a SD card slot.

For the cameras, we get a 32 MP front camera and a 12MP wide rear camera paired with a 13mp ultra wide camera capturing videos at 30fps for 4K videos and 30/60fps for 1080p videos.

The colors offered for the Motorola Razr are Infinite Black, Glacier Blue and Viva Magenta.

The phone also ships with android 13 straight from the box.
